Skip Bar Harbor for eating out. Try Seafood Ketch restaurant on Bass Harbor. Friendly local spot on the harbor. Hands down the best fried scallop dinner I've ever had. Fresh baked bread, desserts and homemade chowder.

Great lobster dinner at Fox's but, the best lobster, we got at Maine Lobster Outlet over on US1. We picked a couple of live soft shells, they boiled 'em there, threw in some butter, and we took them back to the trailer with chowder to eat oceanside!

Tip for Other Campers:
Taconic Parkway is height restricted - RVs and trailers prohibited so pick a way in on the back roads. We never saw anyone in the campground office, I recommend finding your site, set up and then drive to the park office just down the road to check-in when convenient.

Have a country meal at Sweet Southern Market. It is tucked away behind the CircleK at the I-20 exit - just a few minutes away.
