Mt Shasta city is a great place with lots of shops and great food. About a 30 min. Drive north.
Shasta caverns are interesting and can be accessed by boat.
Lake Shasta is huge and has many wonderful things to see. Lots of wildlife.

Lots of local lakes, rivers and wildlife refuges within a short drive of this location. Corning is a farming community with limited entertainment options unless you enjoy the outdoors as I have listed above. All amenities available within a very short distance to this park.
