On parts of it yes. We didn't see any signs around the CG that said no so we took ours onto the sound side....

Negative. It’s against park and Florida law. However, there is a designated dog beach just before entering the park....

Not in the park. There are two designated dog beaches on the oceanside of the island, one of which is about 5 min east of the park entrance gate. No dogs on the beach anywhere else....

They are not allowed on the ocean side or on the sound side but we used to take ours on the sound side - just be aware you could get fined. The dog beaches were a disappointment, they are on-leash. The boundaries were tight when we were there because it was turtle nesting season (May to Oct.), couldn't even take a decent walk. The only place in the area where you can let your dog play in the water off-leash is Bayview Dog Beach and that is on Bayou Texar, not the ocean. Fort Walton Beach also has a dog beach that is on the sound. If you want off-leash ocean, you have to go elsewhere....
