The Metro buses that come to our campground's bus depot don't run directly into Washington, DC, but go to the nearest Metro train station (College Park) 3 miles away. Typically, the bus arrives every 20-30 minutes, but on weekends they are spaced further apart. Some of our guests also choose to drive the 3 miles to the train station and park. Or you can book a tour into DC that leaves and returns to the campground, but those are not Metro buses - they are our private tour buses....

There is a bus from CHP to the College Park Metro station that runs at least once and hour but perhaps more often but I don't remember the schedule. Total time from getting on the bus to the Navy Archives stop is about 40 minutes. For more info... The web at cherryhillpark.com/transportation...

My recollection is that metro bus service runs from early AM to late PM. Not sure service is on an hourly schedule, but it's quite frequent. An on-site bus station is one reason we chose to stay at Cherry Hills....

I don't have the exact schedule but it is frequent from early morning until 10:00 pm or so. They run more frequently during the hours folks are going to/from work. The bus takes you to the metro station, not city center. So bus to metro to town. We usually got off at the Archives stop. It worked great!...

The buses run from Cherry Hill Park to the metro stop (light rail train) every half hour or so. About a fifteen minute ride. There is a posted schedule. The metro rail system runs every few minutes. There is also a parking garage to park your car for the day to take the train in if you choose to drive to the park and ride....

We didn't take the bus into DC, we took the bus from the campground to the metro station. If I remember correctly, the bus runs every 1/2 hour. From the metro station we took the train into DC. Those trains run about every 15 mins or so. We purchased our tickets in the campground office. They have a senior discounted ticket which was $7.00 per person and paid for the bus rides, to and from, and the metro rail, to and from. The campground also offers other types of tickets and tours. Hope this helps...
