      You will have some winding roads, no matter how you go, either from US-395 or US-99. From US-395, CA-120 west from Mono Lake (Lee Vining) is not bad. Still some twisty sections, but mostly fine. Less winding than from US-99.From US-99. CA-49 is a very scenic route, but there are sections which are very twisty. If coming up US-99, I would continue north to Merced and turn onto CA-59 to La Grange. Then take CA-132 to Coulterville and J132 until it hits CA-120. CA-120 goes right past the RV Park....

      Oh, I forgot to mention that if you travel on CA-120 (Tioga Pass) from US-395, that you must check the current road conditions. The highway is closed for many months during the winter....
