• Question:

Although I have stopped my target shooting, hunting and reloading hobbies a few years ago when I moved from Bishop CA to Concord CA I am still a life member of the NRA - at 83 years old. My wife and I are full time RVers and presently in Livingston TX for a week or two. We will soon be moving with our home, a 33 foot travel trailer, towards the Rockies so that we will be at higher elevation for the summer. I was wondering whether we could stay at Whittington Center for a week or so?I do not have the exact dares yet, but it would be within the nest few weeks. There's no use planning a route to WC if we wouldn't be allowed to stay. And, on the other hand, if there are scheduled events when we couldn't stay there it'd be great to get a schedule of when camping in our trailer would be possible. We may arrange our schedule if necessary.Thank you...

I would recommend you call the camping office at the Whittington Center and they can answer your questions. Would recommend a stay if it works with your travel schedule... We enjoyed our stay there....

Absolutely! If you can pay, you can stay. Contact the Whittington and check with them. Only time reservations are difficult to obtain is when they are having special "meets". Have a good time. It's a memorable place to stay....

You don't have to be an NRA member to stay, but they do have some popular events in the summer when they fill up, so it's worth it to call them and find out what's scheduled. We were told that usually there's space available as long as it's not during one of those popular events....

I wouldn't answer any different than what's been said. We camped in the West campgrounds which we found level and roomy for a 45' Super C car. It is rustic like the old West, but have the luxury's of full hookups and solitude. You can tour the 1000 acres of ranges, museum and other amusements at your leisure....

I agree with what's been said. We parked in the West campground. Plenty of room for a 45' Super C car. Very few other campers, but considering the size and activities that can take place, it could get busy. It's rustic like the Old West with full hookups and lots of solitude. You can self guide a tour the grounds, ranges and other amusements. It is a shooters or enthusiast heaven....

We are there for two days and I am a lapsed NRA member waiting for them to fix their financial problems. Now one asked for NRA membership when we called. Too late for your answer tho. May see you later in Rock Springs...
