Question:
Fri Aug 24 2018We have some friends that are going to camp at Indian Boundary. They asked us to meet them there with our 34' fifth wheel. All the sites that I found say maximum length is 26'. My friend says he has camped there and many sites are much longer than 26'. In your experience would we be able to stay there in a 34' fifth wheel?...

There are many sites that can accommodate a 34'er.Go to the website and type in your criteria in the reservation system and the sites that can hold a 34' will pop up (as long as they aren't reserved already). Hope this helps....

There are a few sites that you should be able to squeeze into, but they are few and far between. During the time we camped there we saw several fifth wheel units. The campground loop roads are paved, but are narrow and have tight turns. You can see where large rigs have missed judged the turns, by the deep ruts created when the trailer wheels went off the pavement. This is a favorite campground for the locals. Be sure to have a reservation as it is usually booked months in advance....

I don't know...I know that the site restricts that length of camper...Rather than chance it, I think I would clear it...There are sites that it would fit...I am sure of that...Beautiful park...Sorry I can't help more .......

When you reserve a site, the only correct answers for RV length is 26 feet or less. Otherwise you cannot reserve the site. I understand why they have the 26 foot limit, as some sites have limited back in, turning room, and the roads are narrow. They are attempting to limit damage from large RVs. That being said, every time I have been to Indian Boundary, there are RVs there that are longer than 26 feet, including campground hosts....

The reason for the short length isn't the size of the sites but the roads. Tight turns and long RVs don't go well together. Plus many people who have long RVs (or short ones for that matter) simply can't drive them. From what I have been told, you damage something, you will be made to pay for it....

We have a 40' 5thWheel and camp at Indian Boundary often. Several sites are large enough. Best to call the campground and ask for help getting a larger site. We have been told that the reason for the limit is that that they cannot guarantee that branches will be cut back enough for longer rigs and don't want to be responsible....
