Whistlers Campground, Jasper National Park
Question:
Wed Jul 26 2023We will be leaving Tunnel Mountain Trailer Court and driving to Whistler with our 30 foot travel trailer. RV navigation is trying to send us back to Calvary, up to Edmonton then over to Whistler. Is there a reason we can't take 93 Icefield Parkway?...

First off it's Calgary and yes you can drive the Icefields Parkway as we towed our 38ft 5th wheel with no problem whatsoever. No need to take the route to Calgary thru Edmonton....

Not at all. We drove it with our 33' 5th wheel and there was lots of room for longer if needed. The icefield parkway is a must. You have to gauge for yourself on turn outs while hauling. We loved the parkway and both parks you mentioned. We traveled with "GyPSy Guide is now GuideAlong"Still Your Favorite Audio Tour Guides it is well worth the small investment. Check it out the app is free areas are different (very reasonable) prices. We got the entire Canadian Rockies for 22$. It is AI and runs off GPS it travels with you offering advise and your personal tour guide with loads of info. SAFE TRAVELS....

Be advised that the route into Whistler from the north is steep in places, so you may want to take the route from the south into Whistler....
