We prefer the upper. Feels a bit more roomy between spaces....

I think it’s all great we stayed in the lower loop but I don’t think there’s a bad spot in there. It is a luxury campground....

I agree the upper loop has a better view and more room and closer to the hiking trail. Not a bad site in the entire park. Be sure to visit Tombstone a short drive away....

The Upper Loop is truly "uphill" from the lower loop - nothing steep, but you get more of a panorama from there. In terms of campsites, either loop works. We camped in the lower loop and would repeat, if in the area again....
