      Yes lots of room to run the dog. SC beaches require them off the beach starting in May. There is ample room in the campground after May....

      The beach is always a great place for the pups to run, but there is also room in the middle of the North campground. This is a wonderful park - we go every year!!!...

      Dogs are suppose to be leashed at all times. So people do let their dogs run the beach and let them run in the center of the north park but this has caused issues with other dogs including ours. Leashes are required in the park....

      Leash laws, but they can run the beach in off season. It might present an issue for those that do leash their pets. We always leash our pups, unless on Edisto Beach near Jeremy Cay. All other SC beaches we leash. We found ample areas to walk the boxer....

      Aloha Richgimd: The Park is extremely dog friendly. During our two stays, we noticed that dogs were a non-issue, if they were leashed. It's better said that we observed that dog owners created dog-related issues by letting their dogs run free. The following text was taken from the Park's website: Huntington Beach State Park is a dog friendly park. All dogs must remain on a leash no longer than six feet at all times. Please clean up after your pet. Dogs are allowed on the south end of the beach. Dogs are prohibited in buildings, including Atalaya and on the north end of the beach. The north end extends from the beach access at the north parking lot to the jetty....
