Question:
Tue Jun 25 2024Staying here in a pull-thru site soon in a 40' motorhome towing our car. It looks like we enter through the gate and turn left, then follow around to pull into our site. When leaving, is the roadway wide enough to turn-right out of our site, without disconnecting the car and proceed to the exit? Or must we turn-left out of our site and turn right to exit through the gate? Better to connect the toad outside the RV park?...

We were on an end site so, we pulled straight out. We had our towed vehicle connected whole tome. Didn't disconnect. Had no problem getting through gate going in or coming out....

Due to our length ( with toad ) we had to turn left out of our spot to make our way to the exit gate. We approached the gate very slowly and came to a stop a couple of feet from the gate. Inching closer did not activate the gate to open. My wife had to manually activate the gate. The approach position to the gate is tight for a big rig so the angle of approach probably affects gate operation...

We were in Pull Through Site #10. Sites angle to the left, but exit is to the right. Park was full, so no way we could turn right out of the site with tow (40ft class A). Decided to just back out and then connect near exit....
