Had a quick burger at the golf course grill. Treated so well and generous portions!!! Loved them. Last night had dinner at the half shell oyster house in Pelham. Really good meal and service. Would go back for sure.

- Apryl Skies If you bring your dog there is a dog beach but you'll have to hike a bit north to find it.3 years ago Leo Carrillo State Beach
- Chris_729 Stock up on groceries before coming here. There are NO cheap markets in town. The cheapest was a Vons/Pavilions and they are one of SoCal's most expensive. Also top off before driving here as there are no gas stations in town that will accommodate Class A's or trailers. When you come in past the ranger station, you have to turn left t the day use parking or right to the campground. The road straight ahead leads under the highway to the beach but there is only an 8' clearance and NO turn around.1 year ago Leo Carrillo State Beach

“Very new campground ”
Nightly Rate: $40 USD
Pet friendly, many concrete pads for sites and many level gravel sites. All appear to have full hookups unlike most State Park campgrounds. We camped at Oak Mountain State Park in a Travel Trailer.

Tip for Other Campers:
The beach/sand area at the front lake was awesome! The hiking trails were great and the Tree Top Nature Trail with the Alabama Wildlife Center were awesome! They had hawks, eagles, owls, and other animals to see and learn about.
