Someone said this place has 1000 campsites. It sure doesn't seem that way. Something about the layout makes it seem not crowded at all. All the sites are crescent shaped pull thrus (with the...

Tip for Other Campers:
Let's talk about parking......we were there on the shoulder season and parking wasn't too bad but we always got there EARLY. By the time we were done with our hiking, shopping, etc the lots were full. So go early or take the bus (which we did to the gondola and were glad we did because the lot was full). The ROAM bus system is pretty easy to...

- Trent_42 Smaller town than an expected. Cool main street with bars and night life.5 months ago Rushmore View Inn RV Park
- Julie_736 Custer State Park - make sure to drive Needles Highway and the Wildlife Loop. Keystone - eat at the Powder House Restaurant as it was very good and very reasonably priced. Go spend a day in Deadwood - it was fun walking the shops and is very dog friendly. Crazy Horse Monument and Mount Rushmore are both very close. We wished we had spent more time here.6 months ago Rushmore View Inn RV Park
- Keeter The camp restaurant serves a buffet style meal 3 times a day and there are other places to eat in Keystone too. Do not forget to go the Berglum Story in Keystone and learn about the man that scuplted the mounument. Drive the Needles highway and see the magnificent rock formations and the needles eye as you drive through it.7 months ago Rushmore View Inn RV Park

Tip for Other Campers:
We took the bus into Banff, be aware if your site is 345 , it is 1/2 mile to the bus stop. The lower the number, the closer to the bus stop. Definitely recommend the Icefield Parkway. We did the Ice Odyssey Tour and would recommend the upgrade as we were able to walk on the glacier with crampons and the ride was wild. Recommend the Yoho Lake Trail in Yoho...

Tip for Other Campers:
We stayed 6 nites, September 16-22. EVERYWHERE was crowded. Have a Plan A and B for what you want to see and do as crowds and traffic dont always cooperate with your plans.Take a Radventure tour. Jaycob was terrific. Huge free parking area at the Banff train station. Canmore! Walk along the Bow River. Canmore Sunshine Laundromat is the only one we could...

Question:
Regarding the long weekend alcohol ban, how strict are they? Will it be OK to just keep my beer in the refrigerator with no drinking? Does anybody have experience with the alcohol ban?...
