- Chalis Old Town Cottonwood is a festive place. Lots of foodie places, plenty of micro brews and wine tasting. If hiking is your thing, the Verde river has nice hikes, Sedona is nearby and Tuzigoot Monument is an easy 4 mile round trip hike.The Verde Canyon Railroad is a fun activity.
