Plenty to do and see in Phoenix. Recommend a visit to Scottsdale for shopping, restaurants and entertainment. If you like to hike, Echo Canyon was a great place to visit.

We will definitely return in the future. Remember morning call and evening taps. Be respectful and stop, listen, and after it finishes be on your way. It's cute that even the students stop whatever they're doing to pay honor.
Remember to call the Visitor's Center for the latest updates on who can enter the facilities.
“Active base”

Very nice clean park close to commissary and bx , concrete pads are wide and level but the jets fly from 7am to 5pm non-stop and very loud. We camped at Saguaro Skies FamCamp in a Motorhome.

“We felt very secure being at a AFB Fam Camp. Very nice, free washers & dryers.”

All nice. Cement pads, not very wide but good enough. Picnic table. One tree that did not provide much shade. Weather was beatiful. We camped at Saguaro Skies FamCamp in a Travel Trailer.
