You can hear the road noise from the highway.There is sap that falls from the Pine Trees, but they are tall towering beautiful trees.

Check ahead for the status of construction work on Hwy 260! (Arizona DOT 511 online describes the construction schedule.) For summer 2024, there is a 25 mile stretch with lane closures and a 30 minute wait for alternating traffic directions.Plenty of forest roads to explore, most are not very technical.
