Park manager is very pleasant, but don't believe a word she says! And don't think that the pictures on their website are in any way reflective of this RV park! We were told that we would be charged...

Tips from campers about Pine Creek RV Park

  • napunani Must have (or purchase) Canada Discovery Passes for all vehicle occupants to enter RMNP. Slight discount for seniors. Passes must be displayed in vehicle window. Not required to carry passes while in park. Stock up before arriving as food prices are steep in the Wasagaming business district with just a few places for groceries. Clear Lake Trading Post seemed to have biggest selection. Diesel in the village of Onanole at Fas Gas Plus. Liquor and wine at Home Hardware Onanole. Very small Walmart and a Liquor Mart in Dauphin MB, north of park boundary, along with Dollar Tree, Safeway, McDonalds and Pizza Hut. We drove to Audy Lake bison enclosuredisappointingbison waaaaay in the distance which was difficult to tell if bison or brush.Worth the timeThe Wishing Well and Garden. The historical East Gate. Nice paved bike path along lake. In the business district Riding Mountain Visitors Center for free WIFI. TR McKoys for Italian but go before 5pm if you dont have reservations. The Boardwalk for hand dipped ice cream with lots of flavors, but dont miss blueberry. If you like loaded nachos, 1929 Dining & Lounge.
  • We Roamed and Rambled Hiking trails in park are poorly maintained, at least at this time of the year. Route 19 is a gravel road off of the main Route 10, that is used to access some of what were said to be the nicer areas of the park with lakes and trails, but it has a posted weight limit that would prevent a heavy-duty pick-up truck (e.g. F350, etc.) from using it, frustratingly. This fact is not mentioned on any of the park maps, oddly.
  • Suzanne O Lots to do. We walked to town and along the lake every day. Nice little classy town. Couldnt find a trinket shop! Not much in way of groceries but you can find the necessities at Clear Lake Trading Post. We had great dinner at TR McKoys (Italian, need reservations) and enjoyed White House bakery for breakfast. Best was bike ride out to wishing well along the lake and walking the Ominik marsh trail.
