“Nice quiet sites.”
Nightly Rate: $24 USD
All sites are pull through. Rules are a little strict. Some conflict on interpretation. We camped at Kern River Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Very nice bike trail running through the park. Some sites are on the small Kern river.

Nightly Rate: $25 USD
All pull through. Paved level. Lots of lawn and bushes. Two big loops. We camped at Kern River Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Little hard to find and a ways from Bakersfield.
Showers free but Luke warm.
Tips from campers about Kern River Campground
- Chris_729 Check the events at Lake Ming next door, make sure they are not having any noisy events. Do NOT come here on weekends, holidays or in the summer. Do not get a spot next to the river or near the day use area because people will be constantly walking through your site.5 months ago Kern River Campground

“Very quiet and relaxing stay”

We only stayed one night but it was great. We took a bike ride over to Lake Ming and just loved the night. Sites are very large and clean. Can't ask for much more for the price. We camped at Kern...

We didnt get around to it but I found a few hot springs listed on AllTrails. The holiday lights at the zoo were great and Im sure the zoo is too.

We had hoped to get a site right along the river, but all of the sites are reasonably close to the river and it is east to get river views. We were in site #14 for 4 days just before Thanksgiving....

Tip for Other Campers:
If you like hot springs, be sure to drive up through the Kern Canyon and off onto a county road and visit the hot springs. They were a bit crowded, but a wonderful soak.
