Great amenities (pools and spas, ball courts and lawn games) wine tastings and great sites. Lots of trees. Just lovely! We camped at Flying Flags RV Resort & Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Great spot for the kids. Lots to do. Pools, open grassy field, basketball court, playground. We camped at Flying Flags RV Resort & Campground in a Motorhome.

Tips from campers about Flying Flags RV Resort & Campground

  • RV_Jean We loved lunch at Cold Spring Tavern up in the hills. It is a former stage coach stop with lots of history and mountain beauty. Solvang was minutes away and lovely with quirky shops and restaurants. You cant miss the pastries! Birkholms was the best. It took great willpower not to go back every day. ;-) Also drove through beautiful hills and farms to Los Olivos and found an awesome garden art store called J Wolste (originally recommended by our site neighbor and worth the trip). And finally, theres a great little hike nearby in NojoquI Falls Park thats less than a mile out & back, shaded, dog friendly, and has a great little waterfall & swimming hole at the end. One of the highlights of the stop.
  • Puckslpr Drive slow in park, as kids on scooters and bikes fly thru the park with regard for their safety.
  • Brash Pandas Stop and patronize one or several of the farm stands in the area!

Tip for Other Campers:

There are two musts for visiting this area. First is Hearst Castle. I recommend going online and getting tickets before you go as tour busses come and you might have to wait awhile. Second, if you go around January or February, go see the elephant seals.
