“New KOA ”
Nightly Rate: $42 USD
Nice park with trees and a lake. Sites are a decent size and the bathrooms are very nice, they are new and clean. We camped at Burney Falls /Hat Creek KOA in a Motorhome.
Tip for Other Campers:
This park is about 15 miles from Lassen Volcanic NP. Make sure that you have gotten your supplies before you head to this area.

Question:
What does upgrading to KOA Standards actually mean. I wouldn't think they could move a freeway to one side of the park and a busy rail line to the other side. Maybe it includes spreading fine dust onto the roadways so every vehicle driving by can send up a cloud. Seriously, in my opinion, KOA's are usually the road hard and put up wet campgrounds, aka, the bottom of the barrel, and usually charge the highest rates in an area. And yes, there are a few nice ones, very few, the one just up the road from the Grand Ole Opry was very nice, but $150 a night. And the one in Petaluma is pretty nice too. But of the other 50 or so we stayed in were very dusty, extreme road & train noise and overpriced places....

This is an excellent campground. Great service and the laundry and restrooms were recently remodeled. We had a back-in space so our view from the trailer was of the on-sight pond. We will come back in...
