Tip for Other Campers:
There are a few OHV roads that take you to other significant sights. Forest Road (FR) 13S03 goes to the Chicago Stump. FR 13S55 goes to the Boole Tree Trail Head. Along the way you'll pass through Stump Meadow. Where you'll see the carnage of 1900's logging of ancient Sequoia trees.

Tips from campers about Princess Campground
- G & I Lots of fun exploring the caves. Bring flashlights. We wore our bike helmets but they do have some to use at the visitor's center. Good sturdy shoes also needed. They have caves with various difficulties. We didn't choose the ones we needed to crawl through.
- RickRei603 Be at the Visitor Center (walking distance from the campground) as soon it opens if you wish to participate in a ranger-led FCFS cave tour. The tour when we were there filled as soon as the Visitor Center opened with day-trippers. Many caves are closed during the summer for nesting bats check before you go.
- Loiz3744 Ii is mostly open, some shade. Be prepared.
