“Nice stay close to sequoia national monument ”

Host is very nice and helpful. Unfortunately it was raining during all of our stay so we could not enjoy all the campground facilities. We will definitely come back hopefully on a better weather day...

Lots of shade trees and a nice beach on the river. Staff is very friendly and park is clean. We camped at Camp Kernville in a Motorhome.

Bring rafts to float the river. Canvas would be best.
Tips from campers about Camp Kernville
- OlderGoat Many sites are pull-through; Plenty of trails, all dog friendly
- Campering Get reservations in advance for the cave tours
- AMacN Excellent museum in the Visitor Center, recommend doing this before a cave tour to better understand what you are seeing. Cave tours were sold out on the weekend that we were there so plan ahead. The Ranger takes ~100 people through the cave tour. It is more walking than lecturing so we did not learn much on the tour except when Ranger answered questions.

The town has a brewery and many small shops. Coffee is great at the big blue bear which is within walking distance from the campground.

Tip for Other Campers:
Make sure to drive the road along the river for some great scenery. Also allow one evening to go to dinner at Ewings on the river where there is good food and a great view of the river
