Theres fishing at Blue Lake & South Fork River. Grocery Outlet is about 30 minutes into Alturus. No car wash anywhere nearby. Best price for gas is the casino in Alturus.

Tip for Other Campers:
You should definitely play golf while you are there. Stay in the fairways! Once you are off the fairways, the sage brush will eat up your ball, you'll never find it, but you might find someone else's ball, (LOL). They do a decent job trying to keep the course green, but the clover is overtaking most of the fairways. I'd rate it like a fair municipal course....

This park is an oasis 18 miles south of Alturas, CA. Nice hikes in the park. Lots of folks enjoying the golf course. North on 395 before Alturas is a wildlife refuge. Well worth a look! Full hookups....
