“Nice quiet campground”
Nightly Rate: $25 USD
Nice quiet campground but needs some work on the sites to bring them up to scratch We camped at Shell Mound Campground in a Truck Camper.

The town of Cedar Key is nearby and is reminiscent of "Old Florida".
Tips from campers about Shell Mound Campground
- car2ner Gasoline is nearby in one direction. RV supplies and sales not far away in the other direction. Nice and central to the Lakes region and Manchester / Concord. Nice selection of grocery stores close by if you want to wait to stock up on food, etc.7 years ago Cascade Campground

Tip for Other Campers:
Check out the shell mound. Its a very short walk from the road turn around. Locals say that Tonys in Cedar Key has the best clam chowder in Florida.

Robinsons Seafood is a must. Fresh catch was grouper. We lucked into customer appreciation night. Every Wednesday is 1/2 off your 2nd entree. They also sell fresh seafood.
