The Neversink River is supposed to be a good trout fishing river. Woodstock NY & West Point are about an hour away.

Tip for Other Campers:
The Natural Bridge and Caverns are nearby and are beautiful. You can see where George Washington carved his initials in the limestone under the bridge when he surveyed the area when he was younger. Thomas Jefferson owned most of the land there at one time. The Monacan Indian Living History Museum is also there.

The town of Cedar Key is nearby and is reminiscent of "Old Florida".
“One of the smallest Florida State Parks, but what a great campground!!”
Nightly Rate: $25 USD
The campground appears to be new (or newly renovated). The sites are spacious paved, and fairly level. Restrooms and showers are impeccable! We camped at Falling Waters State Park in a Travel Trailer.

Tip for Other Campers:
Falling Waters has a waterfall that drains into a one hundred foot sinkhole. It's not exactly Niagara, but with all the rain here lately, it does have a good flow. Florida Caverns State Park is nearby (twenty-five minute drive). Southern Grace Lavender Farm is worth the forty-five minute drive. My wife loved it. I didn't know lavender could grow this far...
