Tip for Other Campers:
TIPS: It is a walk of about .5 mile, from the area for 15 min. Parking, to the water. 3 or 4 carts are available on first come first serve basis to haul your kayak or paddle board. The headsprings are upriver about 1.25 miles.

Tip for Other Campers:
Swampys Bar and Grill is just a few miles away. Good food and casual ambience overlooking the Rainbow River. Its just across from the Blue Run of Dunnellon Park where you can access miles of paved multiuse paths.
Tips from campers about Rainbow Springs State Park
- CAMiller Walmart, Fry's, and Safeway in Newport about 20 minute drive. Go at low tide to enjoy the tide pools at Seal Rock and Florence. Go at high tide to enjoy Thor's well and Devil's Churn near Yachats. A must see is the Yaquina Head Outstanding Nature Area north of Newport.4 years ago Waldport / Newport KOA Journey
- 21Judy20 Waldport has lots of cute shops. Walk on to the bridge at low tide to see all the seals and sea lions. Great sunset viewing! Newport is only 15 min away. Great old town and restaurants. Paddle the Rainbow...it is beautiful. Swampys was great food...Alligator Wrap and Ceviche was wonderful. Worth the wait.
