Tips from campers about Gainesville, GA

  • Suzieq213 Was a stop over enroute to Chattanooga. Windy roads to get in and out of the park but no issues, just slower.
  • CMOnRoad If you have time, check out Tallulah George State Park about an hour north. If you love waterfalls you will enjoy this park. You can see some of the waterfalls without much hiking but to really see them all it will take some hiking. They have a cool suspension bridge to cross the river but you have to earn it by walking down hundreds steps and then back up.
  • pilots48 Showers were nice but water was only just warm. Girlfriend said hers was cold. I don't understand why they have the showerhead aimed at the doors. There is no dry floor to get dressed on. Poor design for most COE's.
