Tip for Other Campers:
- Buy the All Attraction Ticket, its like 47$ and includes the TRAIN, and SKYRIDE to the top of Stone Mountain. - Walmart is just outside the gate about 10 minutes away.
- Chicago Pizza is a nice restaurant down the road. - There is a Bass Pro Shops about 45 Minutes away.

They have anything you want but we were visiting friends and went to El jinete, it was excellent!
Tips from campers about Stone Mountain Park Campground
- CTS09 This is near Corning NY and the must See Corning Glass Museum (a full day visit) Buy the two day 2 museum ticket and also see the Rockwell Family Museum (not Norman Rockwell ) and eat in old town Corning. Tip for Other Campers:
Memorial Hall was closed, but other SMP exhibits can be viewed at the hall at the base of the walk-up trail. While there, consider hiking up the walk-up trail to the top of the mountain (tram costs $15 one way). If you like a longer hike, consider the Stone Mountain Cherokee Loop (5.5 miles) which is a great trail around the mountain and along the lake.

The campground is obviously inside Stone Mountain Park. This park has plenty to do for all ages. Check the website for the activities for the month. We do not live far and I can tell you you better book early for October and December. Atlanta is about 20-30 minutes away and well if you can't find something to do in Atlanta that's your fault. “Expensive but clean”
