Nightly Rate: $36 USD

Hike the dunes just to say you did it. Wear 8" light weight hunting/hiking boots to keep sand out.
Tips from campers about Bruneau Dunes State Park
- Denise and Glenn Highly recommend the observatory program. Astronaut William Anders from Apollo 8, who took the famed "Earthrise" photo, had died earlier that day so they showed an extra movie about the Apollo 8 astronauts. Very interesting, the whole program was informative and fun.5 months ago Bruneau Dunes State Park

Fill your freshwater tank before you arrive; the water has a distinct sulfur smell. Okay for showering, though. Mountain Home has a Walmart. Hagerman Fossil Beds are 52 miles away and closed to the public. Better choice is Dinosaur National Monument.7 months ago Bruneau Dunes State Park

“Time your stay to coincide with the observatory being open!”
Nightly Rate: $50 USD
Pull through site with water and electricity. Sites very close together but great views of dunes. We camped at Bruneau Dunes State Park in a Travel Trailer.
