We explored gravel forest road 2550 nearby,
Shopped in nearby Sandpoint and found a necessary RV repair at Lake RV in Ponderay just north of Sandpoint. There is also a Walmart in the town of Ponderay.
Tips from campers about Priest River Campground
- pirk7375 Cash discount. Most go to Gruene and visit Gruene Hall, Gruene River Grill, lots of shopping, sites to see. We loved the Rusty Bugs and Roosters, the antique shop and Cotton Eyed Joe's.7 months ago 2nd Crossing Camp

Tip for Other Campers:
The entrance to the campground is immediately east of the river bridge, on the south side of the highway. It is not well signed, narrow and is easily missed. Peace river has lots of old historical buildings to look at. The river has a BIG current during spring run-off just be aware.
