We visited Wild Den State Park just over the river in Iowa. Nice little park with good hiking trails.

Tip for Other Campers:
CAMPGROUND: next to the canal with 60 miles of paved/gravel towpath, fishing, and kayaking. The campground rents kayaks and electric bikes. Area: see Hennepin Canal state park. COMMUNICATIONS: WiFI OK. ATT hot spot OK. EXERCISERS: Great for running, walking, biking, and kayaking. No shade on the towpath after mid-morning.
