“Quite very peaceful!”

Only wish there were full hookups. But other then that everything was good! We camped at Kickapoo State Recreation Area in a Travel Trailer.

Tip for Other Campers:
Riverside trail along the Vermilion River is very pretty. Hilly but not demanding. The nearby convenience store closed for the season on November 1....
Tips from campers about Kickapoo State Recreation Area
- ETB The closest restaurant is the Lode Star Casino in Fort Thompson, about 3 miles from the campground. Lynn's Dakotamart is the closest market which is also in Fort Thompson. The Post Office in Fort Thompson does accept General Delivery. If you need something shipped General Delivery, besides USPS, United Parcel Service (UPS) is the only major delivery company that will delivery to the Post Office. Stayed here one night, and we just happened to choose the night of their Halloween parade, but we wouldn't have known it other than many RVs were decorated. Sites are fairly well separated by trees....

Tip for Other Campers:
Beware following navigators to get into the park since the ones I used favored a road that is no longer there to connect the Vermillion County Fairgrounds to the park; consider following the highway signs to get in. Your mileage may vary by the time you go there....
