Tips from campers about Lake Anita State Park
- TIMOTHY_PUGH_150 The town is fairly small but it is only 55 mins to Des Moines where there are several things to do. Recommend Exile brewing, Lachelles, Mullets, Fong Pizza, Stuffed Olive, and Cen tro for food or drinks. The sculpture park downtown was pretty cool also. There is also a Costco and Whole Foods7 months ago Lake Anita State Park
- FriendsAlongTheWay Visit the town of Atlantic if you want supplies. They have a Walmart. But avoid the Westside Diner in Atlantic, we ate there and it wasn't very good.10 months ago Lake Anita State Park
- skiinghousedad Spend a night, those rest areas in Iowa are way close to the roads and I-80 is busy. Off season here it's just you and some tweeting birds.1 year ago Lake Anita State Park
