Tips from campers about Fort Boonesborough State Park
- G&S Smith If you are going into the park from I75 on Hwy 627, be aware that the first hwy sign you come to says Ft. Boonesborough. This is the entrance to the rebuilt fort itself and if you turn there, you may not be able to turn around. My family camped at Fort Boonesboro when I was young. At that time the water quality was not so good. I don't remember if it was sediment (rusty) or sulfur. Has any of that changed? Are they on a municipal water supply now?...

Go to the Fort. Play miniature golf. Beautiful area.
