Easy access to kayaking and a good area to ride bikes. Your 30 minutes from Ellsworth for some nice restaurants, and an hour from Acadia National Park and Bar Harbor.

Tip for Other Campers:
This is rural Maine with many small towns on the peninsula but with great scenery all around. The major grocery outlet is in Blue Hill about a 15 minute drive. The Brooklin General Store has basic necessities. There are any hiking trails all around and plenty of water activities in the area. Brooklin is the wooden boat building capital of the US.

Tip for Other Campers:
Convenient to Deer Isle and the shops and restaurants in the towns of Stonington and Blue Hill. The entrance to Mt. Desert Island is about 35 road miles (1 hr) away.
