Because there is sok much to do in the campground itself you don't need to leave. Having said that, Damariscotta is a lovely place and there are a lot of touristy types places to visit.

We had a great first visit! A safe fun time for our kids to roam on bikes, close to town and extra supplies. FANTASTIC FIREWORKS! We camped at Lake Pemaquid Campground in a Travel Trailer.
