Theres a cute bay town if you go southeast on 10th Mountain Division Highway. We traveled to Acadia National Park and Baxter State Park. Very long drives from the campground!

Tips from campers about Colonial Mast Campground
- sarahroams You will find a ton of hiking in the area! We recommend the Long Point Trail, at the top of the hike you will overlook the New River Gorge Bridge and the river. We also highly suggest you take a drive to Babcock State Park, visit the grist mill and do some hiking. We also stopped at the Main Overlook at Grandview. It offers a beautiful view of the large horseshoe bend in the New River. Easy walk from the main parking lot. Great spot for watching the sunrise!3 years ago The Outpost at The New River Gorge
