“Right on Lake Michigan”

This campground has lots of spacious sites! Site 508 (Pines Loop) has an asphalt pad and 30-amp electric. The dump station has 3 stations to accommodate lots of camping units leaving. AT&T...

“Campground with several loops on the beach with easy beach access”

Typical MI state park. Most sites close together. There were some gravel to park on. Fairly level. Lots of sand and dirt to be expected at the beach. Several nice beach access trails to beach for...

Tips from campers about Wilderness State Park
- KPMullen Close to MLB Hall of Fame which was the purpose of my stay.3 years ago Cooperstown Deer Run Campground
- gosee We came here for the Baseball Hall of Fame. Busy. Found parking a few blocks away as we didn't see the trolley around very often and would not like to wait. Parking is for 2 hours, so just moved to another spot for another 2 hours.9 years ago Cooperstown Deer Run Campground
- overogal I would recommend visiting the Baseball Hall of Fame in Cooperstown. However, park in the lot on the edge of town and take the trolley into town, parking in town is expensive and limited. Also, visit the Farmer's Museum. We didn't get to go because we weren't there long enough. I recommend lunch at the Doubleday cafe and bar in town. The food was EXCELLENT!9 years ago Cooperstown Deer Run Campground

Cell service was poor on all 3 major networks. Verizon was the only semi-usable one with 5Mbps download and 0.6 upload. Speeds taken with a roof mounted Peowave antenna. You might be able to get...

Top Question about Wilderness State Park
These questions & answers are the opinion of a RV LIFE' member and not the views of RV LIFE
Question:
We will be camping in Wilderness campground in early August 2025. We’re coming from Southern California, am I going to be eaten alive by mosquitos? We have them in CA, but not like in MN. We will be arriving from Battle Lake, MN camping close the lake w/is heavily covered by trees and the mosquitos are pretty thick unless there is a good breeze. Can you describe what the mosquito situation is like? If it’s a lot, can you recommend somewhere where it’s not so buggy near this area? TIA...

“A gorgeoous lake side campground”
Nightly Rate: $38 USD
This is a large park with multiple loops that keep it from feeling large. There is a line of full hookups. There are two loops along the lakefront. There is a large interior loop as well. Sites have...
