Tip for Other Campers:
Many waterfalls to see in the area. Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore. East Channel Brewing Company in Munising has great craft beer at very reasonable prices. The Cooking Carberrys have great wood fired pizza on the brewery patio. The ACE Hardware in town has anything you would need and they are very helpful.
Tips from campers about Widewaters Rec Area
- Studio-One Walmart and other major stores are 8 to 12 miles down the road toward Temple.2 years ago White Flint Park
- Swampowl Very close to Temple, of course. About 40 minutes from Fort Hood. There are no playgrounds or trails to walk on. But plenty of good spots for bank fishing, and a nice boat ramp with a courtesy dock. And bathrooms beside the boat trailer parking lot.4 years ago White Flint Park
