Tips from campers about Wadena, MN
- Hillhouse We drove in from the East on MN 210. We were supposed to turn left (South) on Hwy 169, but the road was closed with barricades. There were NO detour signs to guide us. Our GPS's (four of them) wanted us to make a u-turn back to South Hwy 169. Fortunately, I had paper maps (I know right.... who uses paper maps anymore) and found an alternate route 69 miles out of our way. Our GPS's didn't recalculate until about 30+ miles into our detour. The bad thing is we are 66 feet long and 13.3 high..... paper maps do not tell you if there are low bridges etc. We held our breath and continued on successfully. Just beware.9 months ago Sunnybrook Park and Campground
- TodayIsOurAdventure Driving distance to see Dambo Trolls in Detroit Lakes, MN Also definitely try out the BBQ Smokehouse. Post covid, it's all take away and retail. But the made to go meals are delish! They are only open till 5:30 but go early, they sell out almost daily!9 months ago Sunnybrook Park and Campground
