Tip for Other Campers:
We drove in from the East on MN 210. We were supposed to turn left (South) on Hwy 169, but the road was closed with barricades. There were NO detour signs to guide us. Our GPS's (four of them) wanted us to make a u-turn back to South Hwy 169. Fortunately, I had paper maps (I know right.... Who uses paper maps anymore) and found an alternate route 69 miles...

Driving distance to see Dambo Trolls in Detroit Lakes, MN
Also definitely try out the BBQ Smokehouse. Post covid, it's all take away and retail. But the made to go meals are delish! They are only open till 5:30 but go early, they sell out almost daily!
Tips from campers about Sunnybrook Park and Campground
- Blowfishqueen Reliance fly shop was great but the river was way too warm for trout. The generation schedule was also not good. We did drive beautiful country back and dirt roads to our hearts content. The Amish vegetable stand had good stuff!9 years ago Black Bear Cove

Full hook up plenty of space for our FW and tow vehicle. Showers, restrooms, and laundry on site. Very friendly camp hosts. We camped at Sunnybrook Park and Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Tip for Other Campers:
Went to the headwaters of the Mississippi River, about 90 minutes away. Go to the Cozy and see a movie.

Lots of trails around the campground, dog park about 1/2 mile away in another part of the city park. Whiskey Creek runs through campground. Lots of flies and bugs around the water and swampy areas....

Tip for Other Campers:
Visit BBQ Smokehouse in Wadena. Had ribs and tri-tip - both excellent. Had a meal at Desperate measures brewery - ok beer with mediocre food and service. Wish we had eaten at Oma's German restaurant. We got a dessert to go there and it was amazing.

“Beautiful campground and park”
Nightly Rate: $35 USD
Our site was large, the manager was wonderful, and the walking paths beautiful. Wouldn't hesitate to stay here again. We camped at Sunnybrook Park and Campground in a Motorhome.
