The campground was clean; there was constant activity in trying to keep the sites clean and clear. The campground is on a river and there's lot of options for trips along the river - kayaks, canoes,...

Tip for Other Campers:
Onondaga state park offers cave tours. We enjoyed Onondaga more than Meramec caverns, although Meramec was a slightly longer tour, Onondaga had some superior features.St. Louis, although quite a drive, has City Museum and the Gateway arch which are a lot of fun.No cell phone reception, make sure you have a booster if you need signal. Even...

We came here in April which was an unusually cold weekend. It is also their offseason. We stayed in site 601 which was good for having a picnic table and fire ring not bumped up to another site....

Tips from campers about Ozark Outdoors Riverfront Resort
- G & I Lots of fun exploring the caves. Bring flashlights. We wore our bike helmets but they do have some to use at the visitor's center. Good sturdy shoes also needed. They have caves with various difficulties. We didn't choose the ones we needed to crawl through.
- RickRei603 Be at the Visitor Center (walking distance from the campground) as soon it opens if you wish to participate in a ranger-led FCFS cave tour. The tour when we were there filled as soon as the Visitor Center opened with day-trippers. Many caves are closed during the summer for nesting bats check before you go.
- Loiz3744 Ii is mostly open, some shade. Be prepared.

Nice park. Couple of suggestions. While the tree shade is welcome, some trees need to be cut down especially if you have a large rig. Very hard to maneuver. No signage at entrance as to where to...

Tip for Other Campers:
Float trips are great.
Nightly Rate: $33 USD
Huge campground at a float trip outfitter. We stayed on a summer weekend. Floating is a zoo on a warm summer weekend. Even so, the campground was quiet and hundreds of young campers were under...
