“Secluded, HUGE”
Nightly Rate: $60 USD
Sam A Baker/Otakhi Lake KOA is a great Holiday KOA. Sits on 40 acres and very spacious. We stayed in Horsecamp site 40, level gravel FHU which was about 1/4 mile from the office and other areas. We...

“One of the nicest KOAs we have ever been to”
Nightly Rate: $65 USD
We love this KOA. We stayed here for 2 nights during a cross country trip to visit family on the east coast. Without a doubt it was one of the best KOAs we've ever stayed at. The sites are huge, the...

Tip for Other Campers:
If coming from the west on 60, and your GPS instructs you to take 117N, I wouldn't recommend doing that unless you want to lengthen your trip by an hour on a long, narrow winding road. Its best to go to the next exit and follow the directions on this KOA's website.

“Beautiful property, friendly staff, excellent star-gazing”
Nightly Rate: $70 USD
We stayed here during the 2024 eclipse. We stayed in one of the newer sites with a brick patio pad, patio table and chairs with umbrella, and a big fire pit from recycling a large propane tank, and a...

Tip for Other Campers:
It is a remote area. Mobile wireless may be limited. There aren't a lot of stores. A Dollar General is the closest. There is a grocery store about 9 miles away. The closest gas station about 5 miles away. It's a great place to unplug. Bring your telescope or binoculars for sure if you have them. You will see so many stars at night.
“Nice but soon to be even better than that”
Nightly Rate: $70 USD
Recently becoming a KOA campground means lots of improvements going on in a campground that has many full hook ups, a beautiful lake with canoes/kayaks to rent, playground, dog run, bathhouse...

Tip for Other Campers:
*A small Dollar General and a gas station are 10 minutes away and a larger Dollar General and a few restaurants are 30 minutes away. Thats all, so be sure you have what you need! *A no-name eating establishment was near the Dollar General that is closest to the campground and while it did not look like much from the outside, based on the vehicles and people...

“Nice place”

Tip for Other Campers:
Currently, the road to get there is dirt and very narrow (no room for two way traffic). Call ahead and they will make sure nobody is coming in the opposite direction.
