- Katy29 The nearby Freezeout Lake wildlife management area is great for birders! We returned 4 times during our stay in the area. There are a couple of farmers markets that are pretty good, too. There is one held in front of the veterinary clinic and another by the museum/visitor center. Park has easy access. Local owners who are very accommodating. Good place to walk dogs. We camped at Choteau Mountain View Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Tip for Other Campers:
Choteau is a nice little town and has a small grocery store. We were 30 mins from great falls and 1 hour from a great tube float area on the Missouri River. The fair was in town along with a rodeo and they were quite fun.
