Tips from campers about Glacier National Park, MT
- Paul_669139ffd0bf8 Great trails!5 months ago Apgar Campground
- avery1317 The ranger talks are in an amphitheater with a good view of the lake. If your vehicle fits the size regulations the campground is two minutes from the Going to the Sun Road, which is spectacular. We were 10 inches over the 21 foot length limit and didn't have a problem, but we went when no permit was required.6 months ago Apgar Campground
- Tch2os - Sites do not have any hook ups(water, sewer or electric). - There is a dump and fresh water fill station at the campground entrance. (A lot of people seem to miss seeing kit.) - RV passenger doors face the roadway at most sites on the inside of the loops. In other words the picnic table, fire ring, etc. will be on the wrong side of your RV. - The loop roads are one way and vehicles are not allowed to go in the wrong way for emergency evacuation purposes. - Reservation only on Recreation.gov - Do your homework on Recreation.gov before reserving. Although weve seen rigs as big as 43 feet those sites are few and far between. And many sites are not close to level. - If your rig wont fit or level out the rangers cannot move you because everything is reserved. - Do your homework regarding passes for Going to the Sun Road and a couple of other roads in the park. Check the park website; do not go on hearsay.6 months ago Apgar Campground
