Tips from campers about Placid Lake State Park
- Jim Biermann Interesting to visit the World War II artillery battery near the campground. There is an interpretive sign with a description of the battery nearby. If you walk further to the north toward the beach trail you will find a bunker built into the side of the bluff that you can walk into. On my Trip Wizard there are three unpaved road warning labels along the road to this park. Any experiences? We will be there in three weeks....
