Whitefish has so much fun to offer! Kayak the lake and river (launch from City Beach or State Park). Hike the trails (Big Mountain, Whitefish and Reservoir). Downtown is an adorable mix of shops and restaurants. Also, a food truck "park" with a bar and live music every evening. Try Abruzzo for great Italian and Black Star for burgers and beers. Tip for Other Campers:
About 25 miles from the entrance to Glacier National park. Also close to ski area where you can ride the gondola up to the top, and take a ride on Alpine slide ( kinda of like a luge with brakes). Most folks enjoy visiting lots of shops, and lots of eateries and bars. Whitefish lake is not far.
