The Washington Cog railroad was a really interesting ride. It's about an hour away. On a hot day, pull over to the side of the road in the White Mountains National Forest and let the kids go in the water that bubbling over the rocks. - Love At First Site Appleknockers is a local store about 3 miles south on rt 25 in Wentworth. They have gas, food and swimming toys. its also a hardware store. Moose Scoops is located in the middle of town. Good stop for ice cream after a long day in the sun. I suggest finding fire wood before arriving. The fire wood at Moose Hill Lock is $12 per bundle. Approximately 5 to 6 pieces of wood in a bundle. Go 1 mile in any direction and you will find fire wood for $4/bundle.9 months ago Moose Hillock Campground
