- Mom_of_Two Eight miles away from the campground is a jewel of a zoo: The Cape May County Zoo. Don't let the name fool you: this is a world-class zoo that is sheltering the breeding stock of more than two dozen species as part of the Species Survival Plan with the International Association of Zoos & Aquariums. - KM10b Its the Jersey Shore. Bring ear plugs, in August after the sun sets, parents let their kids run around making noise and mischief in the campground. There are 4 or 5 playgrounds btw!
