Tips from campers about Summit, NJ
- kott Tomah and Sparta are 15 min away and you can find anything you need there. There is a small commissary and exchange on base next to a gas station. Car wash is across the street from commissary. In Lacrosse we stopped at the World's largest 6 pack across from a brewery and a statue of the beer king Gambrinus. In Sparta there is a giant statue of a big wheel bicyclist. Sunny the Sunfish can be found in Unalaska. You have to go up to Grandad Bluff in Lacrosse to the scenic overlook where you can see the rivers and town entirely. We ate at Timmy's Time Out, a bar/grill in Mauston WI and it was really good food and large portions. The fried cheese curds were delicious but the French onion chip dip and homemade chips were outstanding. Ran out of time to see the Paul & Matilda Wegner Grotto and the Deke Slayton Memorial Space & Bicycle museum.3 years ago Pine View Campground
